We moved across the country from Ohio to Arizona in July 2019. Then COVID hit. COVID changed so many things for so many people. In January 2021, I was personally affected by this when my COVID vaccine was administered incorrectly which resulted in a vaccine injury. I was in so much pain and unable to use my left arm without wanting to cry. I was forced to take months off of work and do intense physical therapy. This was incredibly difficult for me, mentally and physically.

You could say that GingerMama & Co. was born out of the fresh scenery that comes with moving across the country and a new perspective after having spent months building back strength and fighting pain, all while really just wanting to be able to the mundane daily tasks that I complain about doing (but know how truly blessed and privileged I am to be able to do these things). I was restless and needed a creative outlet to get through this tough time, as I was struggling both physically and mentally. I have always been a creative and crafty person, so I called a friend and told her my idea; she encouraged me to jump all in, and so I did. I started designing tees for us to wear at work and from there, GingerMama & Co. has continued to grow.
